Jeffrey is a very unique person. he has always been independent and his own person. lately in HS he is thinking of studying languages in college. he is currently getting ready to travel to Austria for his junior year in high school. he will leave august 10 and return in july 2011. he will have to learn german very quickly and he will be speaking it fluently within 6 weeks. He will be living with a family who has four kids, like us, ages 23, 20, 17 and a girl age 7. here is a link to the family's business web page, of course it is all in german but you can see where he will be living, not to shabby. he is very excited about going but is starting to get a little nervous. he will have to ride a bus every school day leaving at 6am because school starts at 730 and gets out at 2. they do not have sports in HS so he is thinking of playing club soccer if he has time. here is the link http://www.wiesbauer-muehle.at/. he will be on skype so we can talk to him and see him at least once a week. pray for him and for us.
This is such a huge undertaking and I'm sure will be an adventure as well as a challenge. He's a really nice kid (young man) and seems to adapt well to situations. It will be an adjustment for sure and I'm so thankful you'll have skype to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Jeffrey is getting excited about his trip and year in Austria. That will be such a good experience for him and I know he will do well. So glad you will be able to keep in touch through skype. He is a very special young man and I will be praying for him everyday. I would like his address.
